Customer Service Representative- Commercial Insurance

The Leavitt Group Southwest is looking for a talented, motivated individual to join our team as a commercial lines Customer Service Representative.
As is a member of the Leavitt Group (www.leavitt.com) , the Leavitt Group Southwest has the resources of a large national insurance broker and the personalized touch of a locally-owned independent insurance agency. The Leavitt Group is the 10th largest privately-held insurance brokerage in the nation and the 12th largest insurance brokerage overall ( according to Business Insurance, July 2010 issue.) with 125 locations. The agency is appointed with the top insurance markets and enjoys exclusive representation with multiple insurance companies.
This position will assist in servicing insurance policies (providing quotes, issuing certificates, etc.). Must have strong customer service skills, and desire to have a long term association with a professional company. Position includes excellent benefits package. Compensation is competitive and commersurate with experience.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
o Accurately maintain all customer information in the computer management system
o Service all existing personal lines accounts by:
o Speaking with customers on the phone or in person during
office visits and responding to all written correspondence.
o Answering coverage questions, recommending coverage's, processing policy
change information, taking claim information, collecting premiums, submitting the
proper documents to the company, and verifying that documents received
from company are correct.
o Issuing the proper insurance verification documents to the insured
o Resolving customer problems & complaints (with assistance/direction from manager
or producer as needed).
o Assisting with the collection of premiums and reconciliation of accounts as needed.
o Retaining renewal business by contacting insured's to review coverage's.
o Reviewing current underwriting information in order to qualify customers for improved
programs, and monitor renewal premiums for excessive increases.
o Developing existing accounts by attempting to provide additional coverage's on existing
policies, or adding additional lines of business (cross-sell).
o Assisting the agency in developing new business by providing accurate quotes
in a timelymanner, preparing proposals, completing company required forms and
requests, submitting account information to the company, providing the customer
with appropriate documentation, and verifying documents received from the
company are accurate.
o Assist Operation Manager with monthly reports, as needed.
o Other duties as assigned by management as falls within the job spectrum.
Requirements
1-2 years prior insurance experience
Insurance license required.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
