$27,851 Open until filled.
The City of Deming is seeking qualified applicants for a regular, full time Clerk I position to be located at the City of Deming Police Department.
Requirements of the Position:
The primary responsibility of the selected employee will be to assist the Police department in a wide variety of clerical and customer service duties as assigned.
Individuals offered employment will be required to pass a pre-employment physical, drug test and background check.
Benefits included if offered employment:
Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Disability Insurance PERA Retirement (Public Employees Retirement Association) 36-hour work week, with paid lunch break (dependent on schedule of department) Applicant shall possess:
Valid State of NM Drivers License and good driving record.
HS Diploma or GED Knowledge to satisfactorily perform a variety of duties that include spelling, mathematical and technical accuracy; files maintenance and record keeping; simple reports, typing, daily use of standard office machinery, computers, and software; excellent customer service.
Ability to read, understand and follow specific written and oral instructions.
Ability to read, understand and follow Departmental and City policies, rules, and regulations.
Ability to get along well with co-workers.
Ability to work and deal with people in a tactful and courteous manner.
